O&M (Operations and Maintenance)

The State of Washington mandates that all septic systems are maintained and used properly, per The Onsite Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Program. To comply with these rules, you must regularly inspect and properly maintain your home’s septic system. The goal of the O&M program is to keep drinking and ground water from being contaminated, and to protect the public from exposure to harmful sewage. One way O&M programs achieve this is by regulating the installation and design of newly installed systems. We can help make sure your system abides by all of the local laws and regulations. Our technicians are fully educated on the current regulations, and can help you fulfill all legal and paperwork requirements necessary to prove this. Steps of the O&M inspection:
  1. Measure levels of liquid, sludge and scum in all areas of the tank and system.
  2. Inspect all pumps in the system for proper operation and functioning.
  3. Check the drain field area for failures or irregularities
  4. Test and inspect all working parts for proper function and sound condition.

Counties have different requirements:

We are licensed to inspect your system for compliance with local laws and regulations. We can also diagnose any problems or issues we may find along the way, while inspecting your system for legal and safety compliance.
